2) Create Your Career Plan

Start Your Career Plan

• Sign Statement of Understanding by Clicking on box.
• Enter previous education and career history.
• Click on the Career Plan tab
• Select Start a New Plan below the explanatory purple box.

Fill out the following fields with the following information:

• Choose Field: Health Services
• Choose Career:
  • For Career Medical Transcription OR
  • For Medical Coding and Billing

(Medical Records/Health Information Technicians)
Program Type Certificate

Select a School

• Click the Select School button
• Search for CESD Training by name in the pop-up window.
• Click on CESD Training and it will be added to your plan.

Add Courses

• Click the Add Courses button to enter the program details
• Enter the course information for your program. Your CESD Training profile will look like this:

For Medical Transcription Students:
Course Code: MT TRAINING
Course Title: Medical Transcription
Course Level: Certificate
Credit Type: Block
Number of Credits: 1
Unit Cost: 3295

For Medical Coding and Billing Students:
Course Code: MCB TRAINING
Course Title: Medical Coding and Billing
Course Level: Certificate
Credit Type: Block
Number of Credits: 1
Unit Cost: 3695

• Click Done after you’ve filled in the appropriate information.
